Opening note: I lean towards Wakter White being "Neutral Evil" in D&D moral alignment system. Neutral (law-chaos axis): Walter is neutral in terms of law-chaos axis, because he remains flexible in his methodology and response to criminal activities. He uses laws or chaos depending on what's efficient for a given situation. For example, using laws he keeps Hank out of the bay from sniffing into his business, while also taking help from Skyper in money laundering through car wash company. But he also uses lethal forces to kill people in order to tie up loose ends, goes outlaw in distribution, kidnapping Saul Goodman, stealing hard drives, etc. This makes him neutral in terms of relation to law. Evil (good-evil axis): What makes Walter evil isn't mereky his criminal activities and killing people. Its the lack of remorse while conducting mass murders through shady gang members, which are anyway done for his "pride and ego" as Mike puts it, instead of absolute necessity. Its clear since the start that what he does isn't for betterment of anyone, that's not altruistic, hence selfish costing lives of others. There are numerous people killed because of him, none of which is enough to stop him from scaling his illegal business. Including Jane's choking, dual plane collision, Gale B, etc. He even gives a speech on why plane collision and mass deaths from it wasn't a "big deal" when compared to accidents which were way worse. Counter-arguments against True Neutral: A True Neutral type is usually not loyal to rules or law or force, and is detached from concept of good or evil. Walter instead clearly leans towards evil as his actions weren't performed for survival or necessity where he had no choice, but instead to satisfy his ego in exchange or lives of others, including poisoning of a kid.
